The Other Side of Something

The Power of God. That is what was so evident this past weekend in Washington, DC at the Professional Champions for Christ Conference. Over 100 hundred pro athletes came together to build, dig deeper, and challenge one another in advancing the Kingdom of God. I was blessed to be apart of such an event in our generation. Many of these gorwn men just broke down and cried like babies when prayed and prophesied over. It goes to show that no matter how yoked you are (freakin huge, for ya'll that don't know what "yoked" means), or how important you seem to the world, we are always in a place of need from a God that is really "yoked." Over all some great men spoke and lives will be changed around the world through Champions. I'm back in action today getting calls made and getting work done. The only thing that can continue to change hearts of men and help those who have great need is His Hands and Feet. The Power of God

This Is Who I Am

Ok, wow, sorry I have been gone a while. So much is happenning so quickly. I have already booked George at 2 venues and 5 that are not finalized as of now!! Got to hang out with Eddie George and Racheal Lampa last Thursday night! Fun stuff! Oh, did I mention, I worked a fashion show in Downtown the other night for Kym Love a make up artist that also foes to Bethel. She is a great singer/songwriter and person. So I was happy to experience the whole fashion industry thing. I was what you might call the manager of the lighting. I definitely felt too normal, haha. Never seen so many people all modeled out like that before. I have been hangin lately with Josia, a producer here in Nashville. He has done stuff for the Newsboys, Kiki Sheard, and many others. Also been reading 2 Samuel and how God used David, because David understood that he wasn't worthy of God's love, yet he excepted it and whole heartedly knew that God is a God of mercy and compassion. David also makes me want to be a freakin man. He was a battler. Never backed down except one time. He was truly a man sfter God' sown heart. Jesus was love, and at the same time The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, which means we gotta flex alittle muscle in this game of life, while being wise. Anyway that raps up the last 2 weeks. I'll be on a plane headed to sing at the Champions for Christ Pro Athlete Conference at 9AM tomorrow morning. Peace

. mom and sis love you guys.

Think About That

This morning was one of those lazy mornings. The kind that you just don't want to get out of bed for. But, eventually the smell of pancakes and some sausage Mrs. Mowbray made encouraged me to get on my feet. After breakfast I spent some time in the Word, just trying to hear from the Lord. I read for a bit, but just couldn't concentrate on what I was reading, and when I did I did not feel like I had recieved a huge revealation from God Himself. It's days like these where I try to point my "Here I am Radar" in the air and at least get a tiny signal from God. After a time of trying to seek a little wisdom, I went for a jog and naturally began to be attracted to the beautiful mountains and trees that are abundant in Nashville. It was like God was saying, "Here I am. Every tree, every mountain, every substance on this planet lives for my glory, except man." It's funny, Gail, my worship leader in Durham was so correct about this. Nature glorifies God in all that it does. The ocean gives a mighty roar when crashing upon the shore; a flower blossoms an spring; the grass and leaves grow to show glory; an alot of mankind just sorta well, breathes. The Psalmist David was right when he repeatedly says he will praise God with his mouth. This is what we are meant to do. At this thought, I felt the gracious love and holy fear of the creator of the universe, the very one who set the stars in place, who knows the number of hairs on my head. And it sounds cliche, but I know in these groundbreaking, yet simple moments just how "great is the love He has lavished upon us that we may be called sons and daughters of (Him who created all this)." Makes me wonder why I get anxious about things sometimes. He is Jehovah Jeriah our provider. Thanks Jesus . Now for an intense day of nothing planned!

I'm Broken

You know how when you run at night and all of a sudden you see out of the corner of your eye a dog running towards you like its going to eat your guts? Well, last night wasn't one of them, but close! I took a jog around my new host family's neighborhood, and a dog did begin to bark frantically in the yard as I ran by in the black darkness of the night. Scared the mess out of me! I am in Nashville now doing booking for a recording artist named George Rowe, who signed with Michael W. Smith's Label "Rocketown Records." He is an amazing singer/piano player and has so warmly welcomed me into his world. Already I have been exposed to the many facets of the music industry. Yesterday, I sat in on a songwriting session with George. This is where an artist and a songwriter get together and make a hit song by putting in music what has been on their hearts or just some melody that comes at the time. I always thought artists wrote songs wherever, and they do, but I never knew they got together hours at a time specifically to write music. I also recieved a call today that informed me that I had been selected to perform on National Television on the INSP Network. It won't air until the end of the year. Anyway, it never ceases to amaze me how God's grace is poured out in a season of drought. This is the rainy season.

Xanga

Well, I guess this is the beginning of an era. An era in which I am becoming more and more of who I was created to be; free, dignified, and set apart. Never would I have imagined the things that have happened over the last two years. Here is to a new harvest, new beginnings, and new boundaries broken!
